How to Make Your Own Foot Scrub at Home

We all know that it is a must to take care of our bodies, but can’t run away from the fact that we can’t all afford to visit body spas or salons. Times have changed, and everything tends to be expensive thus spas and salons are costly. Fortunately, we have ingredients in our kitchens suitable for bringing the spa to the comfort of our own homes. Below I have for you a few methods of how to make your own at-home foot scrubs.

Bath Bowl

Method

  • Collect all the ingredients and put them in one place.
  • Mix the ingredients together in a bowl.
  • You can increase the ingredients as needed.
  • Take a resting position, preferably in or next to the bathtub.
  • Smear and rub the mixture in a circular motion onto your feet till satisfactory.
  • Leave in for about 5 minutes.
  • Wipe off using a cloth.
  • Wash it off with warm water.
  • Follow with applying a moisturizer  of your choice to give your feet a smooth velvety feel.

2. Oat Meal and Coconut Oil Foot Scrub

1 Cup of Oat Meal

1 Cup of Coconut Oil

5 Vanilla Essential Oil or any Essential Oil of your choice

Wash Bowl

  • In a circular motion, gently rub onto your feet for a couple of minutes.
  • Wipe off with a dry cloth.

3. Zesty Lemon-Oat Meal Foot Scrub

Ingredients

1 Cup of Oatmeal

1 peeled ripe avocado

Vitamin E Oil

Lemon Essential Oil

Method

  • Mix the oatmeal, vitamin E Oil, and Lemon Essential Oil together.
  • Mash the peeled avocado.
  • Mix the oatmeal mix and avocado together to form a paste.
  • Gently rub and massage it onto your foot to scrub.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Use a clean and dry towel to dry.
  • Moisturize with a lotion of your choice.

If you are to exfoliate your feet in a bathtub please be careful as the oil might make you slip off. Make sure you are seated or in the right position that will enable you not to fall. Make sure that you wipe and wash your feet well. Enjoy your smooth scented feet.
