How to Remove Gel Nails with Pure Acetone

Sometimes you can have an emergency have no time or have no money to get to the nail salon so your only choice is to remove your gel nails at home. I feel every woman should learn at least 1 way of removing gel nails at home. Read on as l help you out with 1  of the ways of taking your gel nails off and later on  I will add a couple of ways. I hope this really helps.

Things You Will Need

•         Pure acetone –loosens gel nail adhesives

•         Small bowl

•         Plastic wrap

•         Aluminum foil

•         Buffer

•         Orange wood stick

Steps

1.      Use the nail file to scratch the surface until you scratch through the clear coat.

2.      Fill the bowl with acetone.

3.      Apply Vaseline or petroleum around your fingers to protect them.

4.      Dip 10 cotton balls thoroughly in acetone.

5.      Take 1 cotton ball and wrap it around your fingernail.

6.      Take aluminum foil cut into 10 squares and then wrap it around the cotton ball.

7.      Leave it on for about 20-30 minutes.

8.      Repeat with the other fingernails.

9.      Scrape the gel nail off with your orange stick.

10.    Sometimes 20 minutes is not enough so if the gel doesn’t come out then, wrap the nail again and wait for about 10 minutes until you are satisfied.

11.    Use your buffer to smooth the remaining all out.

12.    Shape your nails as you desire.

13.    Rinse off with warm water, apply moisturizer, and paint if you wish.

Some people prefer to dip their nails directly inside the bowl of acetone. If you choose to do it this way, be extra careful because acetone is a chemical and can be irritable on your skin if you have sensitive skin.

How to Put on Fake Eyelashes at Home

Nowadays most of us women wear false eyelashes to enhance our eyes. It could be for everyday lifestyle or fashion. Whatever you prefer. You don’t need to be a celebrity to put them on you know. It is for everyone.

There are types of false fake or artificial eyelashes, natural, long, luscious, and sexy eyelashes. When I first learned how to put on false eyelashes, I tried my first pair on one of my friends. I wasn’t perfect. She came about twice to me to fix the one that kept on falling out. I would fix them till I eventually got it right. The more you try, the more you get better at it. It is only a process that will not even take you 5 minutes.

Tips on How to Apply False Eyelashes

  • Always remember that full-set lashes are longer, luscious, and thicker.
  • Always remember that individual lashes are meant to top up your natural ones.
  • Trim longer eyelashes by cutting them.
  • Always save the longest part for the outside corners of your eyes.

How to Apply False Eyelashes

  • Make sure you wash and cleanse your face to clean up your eyelashes of any mascara and other make-up.
  • Curl your eyelashes using an eyelash curler.
  • Make sure you trim the lashes because they always come out a little wide.
  • The “trimmed” part should be used at the end of the eye.
  • Take the glue that usually comes with fake eyelashes and apply it at the baseline of the false eyelashes.
  • Be careful and don’t rush with this part.
  • Let the glue dry out for a couple of seconds.
  • Some people hold the lashes on their left or free hand and apply their glue whilst some prefer to apply it on a hard surface and dip the base of the lashes onto the glue, depending on the kind of false lashes they have at that time.
  • Some even use toothpicks to do it.
  • Whatever way you prefer just make sure you are not messy.
  • Take the trimmed fake eyelash and put it in the outer corner of the eyes.
  • Use your 2 fingers, index, and thumb to gently and carefully press both fake and natural lashes together for a few seconds.
  • Hold on to them for a few seconds until satisfied that it has been nicely glued on and dried as well.
  • Take the eyelash crimper and crimp the glued lash into your natural lashes. Hold it in place for a couple of seconds.
  • The glue that comes with the false or fake eyelashes is usually white in color. Black ones are available at beauty and drug stores as well if you choose to use black. They usually cost less than $10.
  • The black fake eyelash glue is better and less messier than the white ones.

How to Apply Eye Make-up

  • Now you can do your eye make-up.
  • Start by applying a black liquid liner.
  • Apply mascara to your fake eyelashes to blend them with your natural ones.

  • Just apply the make-up remover with your fingers.
  • Wait until they can come off on their own without effort.
  • I recommend Vaseline.

What is Airbrush Makeup

  • Airbrush makeup is different from traditional makeup in a few senses.
  • You need to spray it onto your skin using an airbrush instead of applying it with a sponge and or brush.
  • You do not touch the skin whilst applying airbrush makeup thus making it more hygienic and sanitary.
  • Airbrush makeup is known to be used in digital and or film industries.
  • Nowadays there is available portable airbrushes are designed for personal and cosmetic use in the home as well as the beauty parlors.
  • If you want to know how to apply airbrush makeup at home, it is easy to learn.

How Airbrush Makeup Works

  • Traditional makeup such as liquid foundation and powder can settle in pores, scars, and wrinkles and be visible on the skin but airbrush makeup tends to be smoother on the skin.
  •  As the airbrush makeup is being sprayed on, it tends to create an even, smooth, sheer, and natural appearance on the skin.
  •  Airbrush makeup stays on longer than traditional makeup.

Types of Airbrush Makeup

Believe it or not, airbrush makeup is also available for eye shadow, blush, eyebrows, and lips. It’s not for the foundation only.

Water-Based Airbrush Makeup

The water-based airbrush makeup is mixed with water and appears matte on the skin. It doesn’t make your skin shine and it’s easy to build full coverage and is the most popular.

Alcohol-Based Airbrush Makeup

Alcohol-based airbrush makeup formulas can stay on for a longer time. It is 99% alcohol, so you don’t want to use it on the face daily.

Silicon-Based Airbrush Makeup

Silicon-based airbrush makeup has the same finish as your own bare skin. You will need to choose the perfect shade that matches your skin tone.

How to Apply Airbrush Makeup

You will need the following items when you are ready to apply your airbrush makeup inside your airbrush kit.

 Air Compressor

 Air Brush

Air Brush Liner

Steps

  1. Take your airbrush and carefully fasten it to the compressor’s air hose as needed.
  2. Add about 8 drops of your airbrush foundation into the top feed cup of the airbrush.
  3. Turn your compressor on and select a suitable pressure level.
  4. Spray it in the air to test the pressure.
  5. It is always best and advisable to test it along the jawline to see if it matches your skin tone perfectly.
  6. It is not really necessary to pull the trigger all the way back; just a little distance from your face is just fine.
  7. You can make a few layers as well if you are not satisfied.
  8. The secret is to first let the first layer dry up.
  9. Remember practice makes perfect.
  10. If you keep on practicing on someone before you know it, you will be an expert as well.
