Nail art can be a very smart way of adding flair and complementing your outfit for a special occasion and daily look. When you can’t afford to pay a professional and have your own equipment at home, why have stress when you can put on your creative gear and make your nails beautiful without any help. Below are a few methods I have for you. They are very simple but can be elegant at the same time.
- Before you start make sure that you remove your old nail polish. It’s important to clean up your nails before you begin.
- Now trim and file your nails so as to give them a nice shape. Do not make them too short since we are using your nails not stick-ons.
- Push back your cuticles using a round manicure stick.
Poker Dots Nail Art Design
What you Need
- 2 nail art polish,red and blue colors.
- Glitter nail polish
- Base coat and top coat.
- Pin, toothpick or small brush.
- Apply the base coat.
- Dip a toothpick in blue nail polish and make a tiny circle or dot at the center of your nail to create the center of the flower.
- You can buy special brushes or nail art polish at your local grocery, beauty store, or online at www.Amazon.com,www.Ebay.com and use those instead of a toothpick.
- Dip another toothpick in the red nail polish to make 3 larger ovals for petals. Start drawing them from the dot up toward the edges of your nails. Make sure you make 3 bigger petals.
- You can add glitter nail polish as a top coat if you wish or put a glittery stud on the circle at the center.
- Leave to dry and apply a top and last coat to your nails to keep them shiny and protected.
Poker Dots Nail Art Design
What you Need
- 2 nail polishes, different colors.
- You have a choice of using more than 2 different colors.
- Base coat and top coat.
- Pin, toothpick or small brush.
Method
- Apply a base coat and let it dry off.
- Use a small brush, toothpick, earbud or pin to dip inside the nail polish.
- Now with a little effort make dots on your nails.
- You can use different kinds of colors.
- You can make different sizes of poker dots using different sizes of pins or brushes etc. if you want to be a little creative.
- Continue doing this till you are satisfied with your design.
- Allow to dry.
- Now apply the clear top coat and let it dry completely.
- Remember practice makes perfect.
Ombre Nail Art Design
Ombre nail art is a type of nail art manicure where you
create a color gradient by blending in a lighter color with darker colors. It takes time to get it to be perfect but it’s
always worth a try. Also, ombre nail art makes your nails seem very short so
keep them long.
What you Need
- 3 Purple nail polishes, with different
colors or shades.
- Base coat and top coat.
- Wet Makeup sponge.
- Apply your base coat to your nails.
- Wet your makeup sponge and squeeze the water out completely to make it damp.
- Take that wet makeup sponge and with the first lighter color, medium dark, and darkest at the bottom, apply your nail polish horizontally.
- Paint them in straight, horizontal lines side to side across with the same width of the area you painted with your nail.
- Paint a couple of more lines.
- Imprint or stamp by pressing with your sponge onto the nail.
- Repeat this method for all nails.
- This usually can be used for 3 nails then dumpen the sponge and paint again.
Yellow Nail and Silver Glitter Ombre Nail Art Design
This is of the simple yet elegant style. If you want to glitter
up your ombre nails with a glitter accent, this design is perfect for you. You
can change different colors. I am using yellow since it is my favorite color.
What you Need
- Yellow nail polish.
- Silver nail polish
glitter.
- White base coat and clear top coat.
- Wet Makeup sponge.
Method
- Apply the white base coat.
- Paint your wet sponge with yellow and white nail polish, repeating several times then stamp onto your nail.
- Apply your silver glitter nail polish to your nail.
- Let it dry and then apply the top coat to finish up.
