How to Custom Mix Your Foundation at Home

Finding the perfect foundation match that suits your skin tone can sometimes be a real hassle. I can’t even begin to count how many times I had to do this till I got it right. The thing is our skin tone/color changes from time and again due to weather or season change. The best way is to custom mix 2 foundations.
Some factors should be taken into consideration as well before buying a foundation and some of them are listed below;

What You Should Know Before Buying a Foundation

1.   The foundation could be cool, warm, and neutral.
2. Sometimes a foundation may look a little too pink, tan, or yellow and so is your skin.
3. If you haven’t found the one that suits your skin tone then the best way is to custom mix 2 shades of foundations to get the right tone.
4. To custom mix you will need to have 2 shades of foundations, lighter and darker than your skin tone because your color changes according to the weather and or season.
5. To get the right finish you should make the foundation more matte or mix the shiny and matte to be on the middle.

How to Custom Mix Your Foundation

  • Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid germs.
  • Cleanse and moisturize your face before applying your foundation.
  • Place tiny dots of the lighter foundation onto your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
  • Another way is by mixing the foundation on the back of your hand.
  • Repeat the process with the darker foundation.
  • You can use the stippling brush or your hand to gently blend the color onto your skin.
  • Ensure you start blending the foundation from the middle of the skin outward.
  • Now apply powder, bronzer, blush, eyeliner, eye shadow and lipstick.

Keep on applying little by little foundation cream till you get the perfect tone, finish, and layer. There are professionals at beauty and make-up stores who can help or teach you as well. Enjoy!!!
