How to Make Money Online With Your Beauty Blog

You have been online for months researching how to make money through your beauty blog. Relax for you are in the right place.

I was like you, I researched until I got confused and tired and now I got it and have decided to help others to make money with their beauty blogs.

Making money online with your beauty blog takes time, patience, and effort as you get started. The moment you get the hang of it, your beauty blog has a solid foundation then you can begin having passive revenue. There are many ways of making money online and bloggers mix a few of the following depending on their preference. This will add up to her/his monthly profit.

  1.  Affiliate Links
  2.  Ads
  3.  Sponsored Posts
  4.  E-books
  5.  Online Courses
  6.  Own Services/Products

Have you started creating your blog? If not, here is a Step by step-by-step tutorial on starting a blog.

Steps

·   Owning a Self Hosted Blog

First of all, you have to own your own blog with your own domain or self-hosting .e.g BlueHost, HostGator, etc. You can’t use all these free hosting sites, you can’t put ads and their owners may pull them off air anytime without your consent. If you want to know in detail about hosting websites visit here.

·  Create A Blog

There is a way of creating your blog in order to prepare it for monetization. Here is a check to guide you and then continue learning how to monetize. Remember to always give your readers the best content, quality information, and products they desire. Readers look for value and recommendations from experts like you. As you give recommendations, make sure it is a product you are familiar with.

·  Be honest

When you create content for your beauty blog learn to give honest, helpful and relevant product information. This will make your audience and followers to really trust you and thus come back for your services. You can only be honest if you do this with passion something that you are familiar with.

Monetization of your Beauty Blog

It is now time to make money with your blog. It is called monetization. Let us take 6 common ways of monetizing your blog out of the many ways.

6 Ways to Monetize Your Blog

1.   Affiliate Links

2.   Ads

3.   Sponsored Posts

4.   E-books

5.   Online Courses

6.   Own Services/Products

Some bloggers started monetizing from the first day of content creation but as for me, I began to monetize my blog after 15 posts.

1. Affiliate Links

Companies that have an affiliate program will pay you as a blogger, a certain amount of commission just for you to refer them to a new customer. As you blog about a beauty product, you can become their affiliate and market their brand. As you do this, you are referring to their brand/product/business in your blog for payment of course. When you are an affiliate, you will post links in your beauty blog posts to the beauty brand’s website.

The way this works is that every moment one of your readers clicks on your affiliate link, and then buys that product, that same beauty company will pay you a percentage of the sale.

Click here for a complete guide on affiliate marketing for beginners.

How to be an Affiliate?

Make a list of companies you chose. Look at their affiliate program on their website footer or contact them by email. The other effective way is to do a Google search of the Company Name + “Affiliate Program”.

Here is a list of some of my favorite high-paying affiliate programs, which you can join.

2. Scatter Ads on your Blog

When you want to monetize with ads, make sure that you add a few. Do not put over 3 links in your post. A lot of ads in one post act as a distraction and will turn off your readers. Put ads that are classy and related to your content of that post.

You will usually get ads directly from the affiliate programs by logging into your affiliate program and then copying and pasting the code to your website. You will earn a commission whenever someone buys something after clicking on an ad.

The second way of making money through ads is the method of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. PPC pays you a few cents anytime a customer clicks on your ad. It does not matter if they buy or not. With PPC earning more money comes with having many page views one gets through their website or blog. You don’t earn a commission if there is a sale.

PPC Networks to Join

 Awin – Free to join

ShareASale – Free to join

Google Adsense- Free to join

Media. net-Free to join

MediaVine- you can join when you have over 50,000 sessions per month

3. Sponsored Posts and Becoming an Influencer

As soon as you have a large enough following, you can apply to become an influencer. An influencer is someone who gets paid by brands or companies to write posts for their products. They will pay you a standard amount in advance so as to post about their brand or product.

An example of an influencer is those nice looking and all made-up girls on Instagram or Facebook, with a cup of tea product claiming to be a 4-week weight loss tea. It is all sponsored posts. That certain tea company would be paying the Influencer for posting that photo with their brand. A great way to find paid blogging jobs is by joining an influencer agency.

Micro-influencers

There is a big demand for Micro-Influencers. Micro-influencers don’t necessarily need a lot of followers.

What Are Micro-Influencers?

Micro-influencers are specific influencers who have lower follower counts in a given niche. They have engaged audiences, yet have a relatively low follower count of about 1 000 to 20 000.

People are more likely to buy what a Micro Influencer recommends than a big celebrity is seen recommending. Micro-Influencers earn a living from their online following, getting paid to blog and posting on Instagram through sponsored brand partnerships at the same time gaining a ton of free products along the way.

You need to join influencer networks such as Linqia, in order to find brands for paid sponsorships. First, you have to prepare your media kit ready to go. Go here for Styled Customizable Media Kit Templates.

How Much Should You Charge For A Sponsored Post?

A typical rule for sponsorship pricing is: number of followers X 10% or $10 for every 1000 page views your blog gets per month.

4. Selling E-books

Creating and selling an eBook on your website is another good way of earning passive income. All you have to do is find out your passion or what are great at, no matter the niche, and write about it. After writing it you can sell it. When your readers buy it all they do is make a payment and then download it from your website.

You can easily create your ebook in Canva for free and then sell it on your own website, or use Blurb to sell it on Amazon, Apple, etc.

5. Create an Online Course

Create an online course about a topic you are passionate about and put it up on your site. This can be a very profitable source of passive income. You can create several lessons, usually in video segments, and then let your students pay a certain fee to watch them.

Offer a worksheet with course material and notes as well. One of the platforms you can use to run your courses on is called Podia.

6. Offer Own Services and Products

First you will have to create a” Work with Me” page on your site and then depending on what you are e.g. Web Designer, Make-up artist etc. , describe your services and the fee cost on that page. People are looking to hire someone providing your kind of service so this page will lead them to you.

Are you the creative type? Can you make designs, clothes, etc.? If so then after making those products yourself sell them through your site and start making money.

There are other ways of making money online through your blog besides the ones that I mentioned. I will write more as I update this post. Bear in mind that these are passive ways of making money online not get-rich-quick ways and you will have to work hard to start making money.

How to Shape Your Eye Brows at Home

Eyebrows are one of the most precious features on our face. Paying attention to the shape of our brows is crucial, only because of how they frame our face and features. A well-groomed brow helps to shape your face in a natural way. The decade has increased demand for intentionally bushy, yet somehow still clean-looking eyebrows.

1. Tweezing

Tweezing is the way to go if you want to remove stray hairs. You will be pulling both the root and the hairs with the tweezers even though they will eventually grow back over time. Keep in mind that when you tweeze your eyebrows do not do it against the direction of natural growth.

Tools Needed

Tweezers

Anastasia Beverly Hills Scissors, $22.50, sephora.com.

 Mac, sanias brow bar, tweezerman

  •  First of all assess the shape of your eyebrows.
  •  Stick to the natural shape of your eyebrows.
  • Using your tweezers as a guide, hold them up to your eyebrows to measure where to begin.
  • Align the top of your nose bridge with the tweezers bridge of your nose.
  • Hold the tweezers and angle it the same direction up to the peak for the top of your brows.
  • Enhance and fix your natural brow shape by shaping and cleaning up whatever is outside the shape.
  • Now take the right scissors and trim of course after brushing where needed.
  • Do this every after 3 or 4 weeks.
  • We recommend using a brow pencil or powder to fill in your brows.
  • Fill your brows to wherever you think they're good.
  • Step back and check out to make sure they look even.
  • If needed continue to tweeze a few hairs then lightly fill in with the eyebrow pencil till perfect.
  • Avoid heavily filling the brows in.

2. Filling Eyebrows with Eye Brow Powder

Tools Needed

Eyebrow Pencil

Eyebrow Powder

Spoolie brush

There are many different types of brow products out there. For example eye pencils, powders, pomades, etc.  But as for me, I prefer using an eyebrow powder for its easy to use. Just find your favorite that matches your brow.

Method

  • Take your angled eyebrow brush and brush down your brows.
  • A lot of eyebrow brushes come with a spoolie on the other end.
  • Or you can clean and then use a mascara wand.
  • Use your brush to pick a little brow powder and softly fill in the bare area of your eyebrow.
  • We recommend using short, feather-like strokes, starting from the area under your eyebrows for a naturally fuller-looking brow.
  • Be sure to brush through the hair to blend the product.
  • Make sure to follow the direction of the hair.
  • Once you’re done filling in that area, use the spoolie to brush your eyebrow hairs upwards and into place.
  • If you notice any area that needs extra powder now that the brows are in place, go ahead and fill it in.
  • Make sure that you use the correct shade so that they blend in much better with your natural brows.

3. Filling Your Eye Brows with a Pencil

Below is a step-by-step tutorial about filling in eyebrows naturally and quickly every morning using an eyebrow pencil. When it comes to filling in your brows with a pencil, it is important to keep things natural.

Tools Needed

Eyebrow pencil
Brow Brush
Brow Gel

Method

  • First, brush your brows to make sure they are neat.
  • Next, use your pencil in light, upward strokes to fill them in.
  • Use a brush to blend out the product.
  • If you have wild brows, you can finish them off with a clear eyebrow gel to keep them intact.
  • Please by all means avoid using a dark pencil to fill them in since it will make your brows seem unnatural.

4. How to Fill Your Brows with Concealer

Tools Needed

Concealer shade
Concealer
Angled brush
Flat brush
trimming scissors

A concealer is not used just to cover unwanted blemishes or dark circles under the eyes. It can be used to shape and lift eyebrows. The more defined and lifted your brows look, the more bright and rested you'll appear. Below are our tips on how to use concealer to shape your eyebrows.

Method

  • Find your perfect concealer shade.
  • Concealer should be a shade lighter than your natural skin tone so as to end into your skin while still serving as a highlight.
  • Test out a few concealer shades on your skin to find your perfect shade.
  • Find the one that appears natural and has a good texture.
  • Get your brows shaped to make the shadow and concealer look that much better.
  • Shaping your brows will help smooth out stray hairs for better concealer application.
  • Apply a light layer of concealer under the brow using a thin, angled brush.
  • Draw a line with a flat concealer brush to blend the concealer to make it unnoticeable.
  • If you need more definition, apply the concealer at the top part of your eyebrows, as well.
  • Fill in bare areas to create your brow shape.
  • Pay attention to your arch since it is the main point for your brows.
  • Trim your long eyebrow hair using a small pair of scissors.
  • When you are done filling in your brows, brush using a brow gel to make sure the hairs are all pointing in the right direction.
  • Brush upward to create that desired feathery look and to lift the complete look of your eyes.

5. How to Wax Your Eye Brows

When waxing your brows make sure you don’t have over-sensitive skin and be very careful as you heat the wax gel.

Tools Needed

Wax Strips

Spatula

Warm wax gel

Cuticle scissors

Method

  • Cleanse your face first.
  • Use a brow brush or toothbrush to brush your eyebrow hairs upward towards your hairline.
  •  Apply petroleum or lotion to glue together the hairs that you wouldn’t be waxing off.
  • Take your strips and cut them accordingly.
  • With your wood spatula, dip in the heated wax and apply it to the hairs that you will be waxing off.
  • Gently place the wax strip where you applied your wax gel and pull firmly and quickly against the hair growth.
  • Clean up where you still feel needs waxing and use cuticle scissors to help clean up where needed.
  • Apply Aloe Vera lotion in a waxed place to soothe your skin.
